Meet DJ Evan, a rising force on the Paul Michaels Events roster – and proof that great instincts can take you further than years of experience. Originally from California (yes, he moved to Chicago – we’ll give him a pass), Evan has been turning heads since joining the team and delivers every time the pressure is on.

Evan got his start DJing events at Cal Poly, spinning at campus events, outdoor pool parties, and even a charity golf tournament – because nothing tests your song selection like keeping a crowd happy on the 9th hole. It was there that he fell in love with the craft – the energy of a room responding to the right song at the right moment, and the feeling of getting people on their feet and keeping them there.

But ask Evan what he’s most passionate about, and the answer is immediate: weddings. He believes the DJ can make or break the most important day of someone’s life, and he takes that responsibility seriously. That mindset shows in everything he does – from his preparation and communication leading up to the event, to the energy he brings the moment the first song drops.

Whether he’s keeping the dance floor packed at a private celebration or guiding a wedding reception through every emotional moment, DJ Evan brings fresh energy, genuine enthusiasm, and a lot of heart to every performance.

DJ Brian has been an Open Format DJ in the Chicagoland area since 2015. His journey began while he was a music student in college, intrigued by the art itself and constantly influenced by many different genres.

Since then he has gone on to perform at a variety of events and venues including school dances, weddings, nightclubs, and even concerts - always bringing a fun, young energy to every event.

DJ Trois is a Chicago native who started DJing at the age of 7. Trois initially gained an affinity for music by being introduced to early Motown hits and House Music during his upbringing, and from that point on his horizons have only broadened. His love for music influences his sets for a unique blend that can rock any crowd. His other interests include break dancing and music production. DJ Trois’ signature genres are Top 40, EDM, and Hip Hop.

Meet Nick, a Karaoke Jockey and DJ-in-training with a background that goes deeper than most. As a music producer and audio engineer, Nick works with artists in the studio – recording vocals, crafting beats, and selling original music – giving him an instinctive feel for rhythm, timing, and sound that translates directly to the stage.

That foundation makes him a natural behind the karaoke mic stand. Nick keeps events running smoothly, reads the energy in the room, and has a knack for helping guests feel confident and comfortable when it’s their moment to shine.

As he continues his DJ training alongside our senior staff, Nick brings the same preparation and attention to detail that Paul Michaels Events is known for – just with a little extra studio credibility backing him up.

Jamie has been a part of the Paul Michaels Events team since 2018. Jamie works in our office, chatting with prospective clients, and also works as a dance floor motivator for Bar and Bat Mitzvahs. Jamie is originally from the suburbs of Philadelphia where she worked for a DJ company throughout high school!

Meet DJ Lane, a seasoned professional with over 18 years of experience bringing incredible energy to weddings, Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, and corporate events. With a strong background in Chicago’s nightlife scene, Lane knows how to blend club-level mixing with the personal touch every private event deserves.

Always tuned in to today’s music and trends, Lane creates a seamless flow that keeps guests engaged from start to finish. Whether he’s setting the tone for a memorable first dance or keeping the crowd moving all night long, DJ Lane delivers a polished, energetic performance every time.

Ryan is an open-format DJ who specializes in Mobile DJ Services. (He can show up to “empty” events, where he’ll bring all the gear himself, making him a one-man party!) He has been providing musical entertainment at weddings, school dances, and corporate venues as well as club events for more than 15 years. Well versed in everything from Top 40, oldies, rock, hip hop, to pop, and a wide variety of house and trap music, Ryan can keep the crowd moving all night!

Ian has a unique approach to DJing: He believes it's much more than just playing music. It's about the audience experience. Unity. And still, never forgetting to have fun. As an actor, comedian, and viral-dance creator, Ian approaches the craft of DJing through the lens of an entertainer. With years of experience DJing weddings, birthdays, blacklight parties, and more, if it's fun you're looking for, Ian is ready to bring it to your event!

Meet DJ Jay (aka “DJ Speed”), one of the most recognized names in the Chicagoland DJ scene. Jay began his career at B96 Chicago (WBBM) and quickly became a fixture in Chicago’s top nightclubs and venues. His unmatched talent and stage presence have taken him around the world, performing alongside pop culture icons and mixing live music videos for global audiences.

Jay has collaborated with Pioneer Electronics and has opened for some of the biggest names in music-including David Guetta, Bruno Mars, Jay-Z, Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Lil Yachty, Ludacris, and more.

Whether he’s behind the decks at a luxury event or lighting up the dance floor at a private celebration, DJ Speed brings world-class experience, flawless mixing, and undeniable energy to every performance.

Meet DJ Avi, one of Chicago's most respected and versatile performers in the electronic dance music scene. A full-time career DJ since 2008, Avi has built an impressive reputation playing high-energy sets at venues across the nation. DJ MAG recognized her as "a new EDM star conquering the electronic world."

DJ Avi has shared the stage with some of the biggest names in music - including Calvin Harris, Diplo, Cardi B, Doja Cat, Lil Wayne, Kaskade, Joel Corry, Flo Rida, and many more. She served as the official concourse DJ for the NBA's Chicago Bulls for eight years, performed at sold-out stadiums with the U.S. Women's National Soccer Team, and has worked with global brands including Google, Nike, Red Bull, McDonald's, and ESPN.
