Our commitment

Paul Michaels Events, LLC is committed to making our website usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. We believe every guest, client, and visitor deserves to plan their event with dignity, comfort, and independence. We work toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, which is the standard commonly referenced under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 508.

What we have built into this site

Rather than relying on an add-on accessibility overlay or widget, accessibility is built directly into how this website is designed and coded. That includes:

  • Descriptive alternative text on photos and images, so screen readers can describe them.
  • Meaningful headings and page structure, with one main heading per page, so pages can be navigated by heading.
  • Keyboard navigation for menus, links, buttons, forms, photo galleries, and pop-ups, with visible focus outlines.
  • Form fields with clear labels, plain-language help text, and error messages that explain how to fix a problem.
  • Color and text choices intended to meet contrast requirements, with text that can be enlarged by your browser or device.
  • Respect for your device's "reduce motion" setting - animations, sliding photo strips, and moving logos stop when you have that setting turned on.
  • Captions and descriptive text alongside photo galleries and videos, and no audio or video that plays automatically with sound.
  • Responsive layouts that work on phones, tablets, and desktop computers, and at high zoom levels.

Ongoing effort and known limitations

We review accessibility as part of building and updating this site, and we test pages with keyboard navigation and automated checks. Despite that effort, some content may not yet fully meet the strictest standards. Older blog posts, imported photo galleries, documents, and content or tools provided by outside services (such as scheduling, payment, or mapping tools) may not be fully accessible. We consider this site partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA and we continue to fix issues as we find them.

If any part of this website is difficult for you to use, or if you would like information in another format - large print, plain text, or read to you over the phone - please contact us. We are glad to help you get pricing, check a date, or book your event directly with a person.
